for many years we have sung the song, in Sabbath School or in AY [Adventist Youth] meetings.
What the world needs is Jesus, just a glimpse of Him, What the world needs is Jesus, just a glimpse of Him, He will bring joy and gladness, take away sin and sadness. What the world needs is Jesus, just a glimpse of Him.
The message of this song is still as true today as it was many years ago.
To look around is to be distressed
To Look within is to be depressed
To Look at Jesus is to be blessed
Jesus is still the answer for the world today.
He is the answer To our agonies. He is Grace for our Gloom, blessing for our burdens, deliverance for our distresses.
He is the answer to myriads of problems & perplexities in our life.
We feel hopeful & happier when we trust Him
We Experience peace.
We experience healing.
Our minds will be at rest.
If you sick you call a doctor
To save your reputation you call a lawyer.
To save your house you call firemen.
To save your soul, you have to call on Jesus. He is our Saviour, He is our passport out of this insecure and unstable dangerous world, to His Everlasting Kingdom [Heaven His dwelling place]
He is more precious than silver. more Costly than Gold. More Beautiful than diamonds.
He is Greater than stocks & bonds, houses and lands.
The bible says in (Hebrews 12:2)
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God"
Looking unto Jesus are three life changing words..
These are words of Salvation, encouragement & direction.
Looking unto Jesus for Salvation.
What is salvation
In Christianity, salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences—which include death and separation from God—by Christ's death and resurrection, and the justification entailed by this salvation.
salvation is deliverance from the penalty of sin
salvation is deliverance from the power of sin
salvation is deliverance from the presence of sin
we all need salvation because we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Christ’s incarnation in human flesh (Rom. 8:3), His Sinless life. His perfect life.
His death on the cross (Rom. 5:8),
His forgiveness of sin -
His resurrection (1 Pet. 1:3),
and His ministry in heaven (Heb. 7:25), His soon return, these acts alone are what saves us.
the overwhelming testimony of the Bible is that salvation is freely bestowed by God’s grace,
purchased by Christ’s blood,
received by man’s faith,
and evidenced by his good works.
True faith always has the quality of permanence. We don’t hold fast in order to retain our salvation, but as proof that we have been genuinely saved.
Faith is the root of salvation; endurance is the fruit.
Obedience is the Fruit, not root of our Salvation
Who are Christ’s companions? The answer is, “Those who by their steadfastness in the faith prove that they really belong to Him.”
Looking unto Jesus in Temptation & Trials
The circumstances of life and especially our Arch enemy [Satan] tries to discourage us. we are vulnerable when we are depressed. So when you feel defeated, LOOK TO JESUS. HE WILL DRIVE THE CLOUDS AWAY.
There is nobody like Jesus – he alone is the way from:
despair unto delight,
sadness unto happiness
gloom to gladness,
ashes into beauty,
sorrows unto joy,
turmoil unto peace,
emptiness unto fulness,
anxiety unto assurance & desperation unto hope.
If you will surrender to his control and leadership. If you will submit to him and claim him as your Saviour & Lord.
Jesus our Healer
Wants to heal your hurts, Your pain. Your relationships. Your attitude, your finances, whatever your struggles.
If you surrender your life to him and accept His Lordship over your life and allow him to be your guide, and physician of your inner life- soul.
With Jesus
Your life is richer, fuller, hopeful & meaning full
The Poorest person on Earth is not one without money, but one without Jesus Christ.
There’s salvation in the name of Jesus.
There’s healing in the name of Jesus.
There’s hope in the name of the Lord.
There is miracles in the name of Jesus.
There is Victory over sin & temptation in the name of Jesus
There’s comfort in the name of Jesus
If you've got pain
He's a pain taker
If you feel lost He's a way maker
If you need freedom or saving He's a prison-shaking Saviour
If you've got chains He's a chain breaker.
Keep your eyes upon Jesus, he is faithful & dependable.
There is power in the name of Jesus. To break every chain.
If you feel forsaken, helpless or hopeless you can call on Jesus he will never leave you alone.
There is nothing that Jesus will not do to save us.
When Jesus comes into your heart, you will receive not only personal salvation, but also a new power for achieving your aims dreams and goals. Invite Him in your life today.
Your life would be richer, fuller, & happier.
